Our Valencia PTA fall fundraiser is an all school Read-A-Thon! We want to kick off this school year with a focus on literacy and building up all the SUPER POWERS that come from reading! We will be encouraging our students to set goals, support their efforts, and celebrate the joy of reading together. With every page they turn they will be building STRONGER minds, BIGGER imaginations and GREATER confidence.
This fundraiser will go from September 8th to September 19th. We will be using the online platform, Pledgestar, to help us with our fundraising efforts. Please see the QR CODE BELOW which will help you set up your child’s personal Pledgestar page. On their Pledgestar page, students can log the amount of minutes they read throughout the event and manage donations.
Our goal for this fundraiser is to raise $40,000. All contributions make a difference! Please remember to ask your company to match your donation.
We have some supercharged prizes for the top two classes who have the most participation and who log the most minutes read in grades K-3 and grades 4-6. We also have some mighty swag bags for the top 15 overall readers in the school.

Pledgestar Instructions: For our 2025 Read-A-Thon, we’re using an awesome web-based fundraising system that makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. It’s fun, it’s easy, and people who use it typically raise twice as much as those who don’t!
Remember, our 2025 Read-A-Thon is September 8th to September 19th, so please register now to help our school raise as much as we can for Drama, Trunk or Treat, Technology, Field Trips, Assemblies, Staff & Teacher Support, Staff Appreciation, and so much more.
Using your computer’s browser:
- Go to http://valencia.pledgestar.com/
- Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
- Enter your name and email address, then click “Submit”
- Follow the instructions on-screen to register Reader(s) and add family and friends
When you finish, the system emails pledge requests to your family and friends, and allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online. Call 1-888-598-7510 if you need help.
